Our Philosophy
Founded by Dr. Rahel Klapheke and named after her canine companion of 18 years, Parker's Paws Animal Hospital strives to provide pets with excellent, compassionate care. We are a full-service facility offering personalized, innovative treatments for cats and dogs in West Nashville and the surrounding communities. We consider ourselves advocates for animals and want them to benefit from our care. We also want to provide you with different treatment options when possible, and we believe that you, the client, should be involved in the decision-making process regarding your pet.
Vaccines
Minimum is best. We vaccinate only for the diseases for which your animal is at risk. We use products that we believe are the most safe and efficacious.
Overnight Care
We do not have staff on the premises 24 hours a day, and local codes do not allow animals to be boarded overnight. We recommend 24-hour facilities such as Nashville Veterinary Specialists on Sidco Drive, or Blue Pearl Pet Hospital on Mallory Lane for medical overnight care.
Our Policy on Estimates
We completely understand that cost can be an important consideration when it comes to pet care. Because animals are individuals with different risk factors and needs, we do require a complete physical exam before providing estimates for any other services. Our physical examinations are $70 (there may be an extra fee for work-in appointments). Any 2nd opinion visits will be charged $100. WE DO NOT GIVE PRICING ESTIMATES OVER THE PHONE.
Payment
Payment is expected at time of service. We do not bill. We can discuss other options in advance and are happy to give estimates for other services during your pet’s physical exam.
